Jackie Hunter

Jackie is a multifaceted leader who has consistently served on many projects at Banner such as throughput analysis, talent management review, leadership and development. Over the past 18 months, she has successful propelled the Diversity and Inclusion council at Banner Health to accomplish several milestones including but not limited to collaborating with academic partners and actively transitioned 3 veterans into Banner from the Hiring Our Heroes program.  

Jackie was in private practice as a Chiropractor for 8 years. Upon her husband’s initial abrupt deployment to Afghanistan in 2012 she elected to transition back into the corporate world to establish a work/life balance. As a mother of 3 children (ages 13, 11, and 9) she holds a position as adjunct faculty for Maricopa Community Colleges where she has taught Human Anatomy and Physiology to pre-med/pre nursing students for the past 6 years.  In her spare time, Jackie is active in the community as a hurdles coach for a local club track/field team, volunteers with charities and serves as board member on the Arizona Diversity Council. Jackie was recently selected to serve on the board of AHE (AZ Healthcare Executives) as the Chair Diversity and Inclusion.
